The Tauranga Branch of The New Zealand Society of Genealogists Inc cordially invites you to our Family Research Weekend, incorporating the NZSG Annual General Meeting, on the weekend of 4 & 5 July 2009.
Programme - come for a day or come for the weekend Take advantage of all the research resources on hand for the weekend and get busy researching. Check out the genealogy stalls and the many fascinating local history displays. And, on Sunday only, visit the New Zealand Births, Deaths and Marriages stand to catch up with their latest information.
- Many NZSG Interest Groups and NZSG Branches will be bringing their research material.
- NZSG Sales (our research aids including books, CD Roms and charts) will be available to purchase.
- Beehive Books, Tauranga Library and Scottish regalia will be there with lots to interest you.
- See local history displays for Tauranga, Hauraki Plains, Katikati, Thames and Hawkes Bay.
- New Zealand Births, Deaths, and Marriages (BDM) representatives will be present on Sunday 5 July.
Get involved in your organisation. Attend the NZSG Annual General Meeting on Saturday. Relax with friends at the Dinner and Dance on Saturday evening. If you can, stay on for Monday morning's special tour of Tauranga's historic The Elms Mission Station.

Annual General Meeting Attendance at the Annual General Meeting is open to all NZSG members. There is no charge for attending the AGM.
Registration Registrations closed on 22 June 2009. However:
- If coming solely for the AGM, you do not need to register - just arrive!
- You can still register for the Research sessions on Saturday and Sunday. However, sale of tickets to the Dine and Dance on Saturday evening has now closed. Download the Registration Form and post it TODAY with your cheque to the address shown on the form.
New Zealand Births, Deaths and Marriages (BDM) - Sunday 5 July only A team from the Department of Internal Affairs representing Births, Deaths and Marriages (BDM) and the igovt Identity Verification Service (IVS) will have a stand on Sunday to provide information about:
- What is required to obtain an igovt ID, what it is and what it can be used for.
- BDM's involvement as a pilot agency with the igovt IVS.
- What this could mean for you if you order BDM non-historical records.
Public Open Day on Sunday - 'Help to Trace your Family Roots' Everyone is welcome to the Public Open Day on Sunday 5 July 2009, 9.30am - 3.00pm. No need to pre-register - just come along on the day. Entrance charge is $20 per person. More.........
