| NZSG European Interest Group |
The European Interest Group comprises genealogists who are researching their family history in Continental European countries.
The Group publishes a quarterly newsletter. It does not hold its own research material. Instead it actively supports the acquisition of material for the NZSG Library. Whenever possible the Group endeavours to give advice to members in their Continental research.
The Group has an ongoing project to locate and index New Zealand historical material that contains references to Continental Europeans. The results are included in the latest version of the NZSG Index available on CD-Rom. Two examples of material to be found there are an index of all persons naturalised in NZ, 1852 - 1949, and an index of the '1917 Register of Aliens'.
