NZSG European Interest Group
The European Interest Group comprises genealogists who are researching their family history in Continental European countries.

The Group publishes a quarterly newsletter.  We do not hold our own research material.  Instead we actively support the acquisition of material for the NZSG Library.  Whenever possible we endeavour to give advice to members in their Continental research.

The Group has an ongoing project to locate and index New Zealand historical material that contains references to Continental Europeans.  The results are included in the latest version of the NZSG Index available on CD-Rom.  Two examples of material to be found there are an index of all persons naturalised in NZ, 1852 - 1949, and an index of the '1917 Register of Aliens'.

Annual membership of the Group is NZ$10.00.

Research Evenings
The European Interest Group holds a Research Evening on the first Friday of the months February to December, inclusive, at the NZSG Family Research Centre, Panmure, Auckland from 4.00pm to 10.00pm.  All NZSG members are welcome to attend.
