The NZSG Genealogical Computing Group (GCG) is active in promoting the use of computers to access and record information relating to 'Family History', and in engendering contact between genealogists worldwide, for the purposes of sharing genealogical information, by means of Bulletin Boards and the Internet. There are sub-groups in a number of centres, each holding regular local meetings. These sub-groups provide 'on the ground' assistance to those needing advice and guidance in choosing and using computers and programs.
The GCG produces a quarterly magazine (GenCom News) usually of about 36 pages.
Annual membership of the GCG is NZ$ 15.00 for New Zealand residents.
