Presenter ~ Robyn Williams

It is important to know how Directories and Electoral Rolls were compiled as this will assist in explaining why your ancestors were listed or why they are missing. Electoral Rolls can give you occupations, spouse’s names and adult children still living at home. Electoral Rolls were covered by statute and these changed over the years. This workshop will detail the ‘rules’ for New Zealand and give you some hints for searching. The workshop will also cover resources for Australia, UK, and America and show you where to look for other countries.
