Wednesday 31 August 2016, 10 am - Gerard Hindmarsh - Using the example of his own Italian forebears, Vincenzo and Angelina Moleta, Gerard Hindmarsh talks about his own family story and the writing of his best selling book Angelina - From Stromboli to D'urville Island: A Family's Story. His ten years of exhaustive research included oral and written histories, extensive travel and detailed research into time and period resulted in the moving account that captures the struggles and triumphs of pioneering immigrant life in New Zealand. Visitors are very welcome to come along and join us. A gold coin donation would be appreciated.
